Our group is dedicated to welcoming and supporting international students in Edmonton. The International Friendship Group (IFG) is a registered student organization at the University of Alberta, and we are also part of an organization called InterVarsity Christian Fellowship of Canada. International and local students from the university can join our club on BearsDen. We are subject to University of Alberta policies and procedures, and also comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws and procedures. We also welcome students from other universities and colleges.
We welcome international students and internationally-minded domestic students who want to be part of a friendly, multicultural on-campus community that becomes a home away from home for many students. Our organization is Christian, however, we have people from many different religions, cultures and backgrounds in our group. Our aim is to provide a respectful, welcoming environment in our community. We want to help students have an enjoyable and meaningful experience at the University of Alberta and the Edmonton area through our community and programs.

James and Ann Siebert facilitate between our student group and InterVarsity, and they connect with and provide support for international students in our community.
